Our Woods
La Tonnellerie Garonnaise is part of the Barthe Group and has its own stave mill, located in the Allier region that has been active for over 40 years.
Our wood buyer, Andy Crepeau, selects the best French and European forests, each tree is carefully analyzed to see if the wood meets our requirements.
Once sawn, the logs are transformed into staves in our sawmill in Buxieres les Mines (Allier) before being sorted again and seasoned outside for 18 to 36 months, an essential ageing step.
